New Moon: 6 Taurus 27

Rest and Abide

Generally speaking, there is a beautiful simplicity to a new moon in Taurus. It’s a call to steer the body into a comfortable position and rest it long enough for the mind to find its matching harmonious frequency: Here there is no clutter, only blissful sufficiency.

Since the new moon in Aries 28 days ago, we’ve been called to stake our claim and take on the proverbial plough harness. We should feel tired and we should heed that feeling. Yet, there’s another reason to pause. Just as we must fit our catnaps or zone out times around the demands of life, we will need contemplative time to consider how our grand plan has had to shapeshift for the hard earth of reality. This just can’t be rushed; the mind’s strategic survival structures need time to get the message that it’s really alright to chill out. And then, whilst snoozing or strolling or staring out the window, a ‘fix’ or a peaceful acceptance can come.

And so, generally speaking and regardless of any and all matter hitting the fan, the Universe invites you to rest and abide as much as possible. Continue to pace yourself, too, watching that Mars in Gemini doesn’t scatter your energies all over the place, but diversifies the ways in which you progress towards your target.

**********

Meanwhile, we’ve got a longer cycle coming into its 2nd of three passes: Mercury in conjunction with Uranus in Aries…

Time flies when you are swamped, right? Since the turning of the year, many of us have determined where our personal energy is best channeled and begun the necessary networking and bridge-work. We are on our way. We’ve been exposed to different points of view and consciously or not, refined our own perspective. Along the way, we may well have had breakthroughs or surpassed our expectations in a particular area of relating to other/s and, in doing so, were impressed with what ‘çame out’ of us. Yes! We navigated best we could between a rock and a hard place, came out on a new ledge…and watched ourselves transform that position using a combination of our own lessons learned (maintaining flexibility) and fixed gaze on our long term goal/s (holding consistent)…

And now, over the course of this week, another cycle is rising – A hardwired sequence of thoughts/behaviors/assumptions/prophecies will be forced to a sudden stop. Somehow, lightning strikes and there is suddenly ‘space’…a split second later, there sits a new thought and it blows our mind. Wow! It’s as if what we finally grasp as being True in one area of our life must also hold to be true in a general life-creed sense; like ripples of evolution in all dimensions.

Mercury plus Uranus in Aries = shocking, piercing, penetrating, of high art/craft, progressive, authentic, inspired by something greater than Self, life changing. So, sure, you could shout and scream, attack with a knife or enlist a posse to encircle and crush the enemy camp. Certainly, this isn’t gentle energy and you may well be on the receiving end from someone who probably desperately needs some time out. The bottom line is that this energy is on tap for ALL of us even as we must individually wield it. Let’s be Taurus about it: slow to anger, quick to see that this, too, shall pass. Let’s keep on doing our best to apply these symbolic descriptors towards peaceful co-thriving.

Wishing you a magical new moon,

On Cycles

Pluto stations retrograde on April 20th opening a tunnel into our approach to the natural cycle of endings and beginnings through September 29. This review may bring to our awareness where we may not be allowing the natural “death” of something to take its course by regenerating in a transformed state. Before change can happen, we need to let go of the old, the tired, the worn out, the dysfunctional. If we can keep everything moving through their natural cycles, we remain constantly refreshed. Pluto’s subtle alchemic process is a quiet, under the radar energetic force that works regardless of how conscious we are of it. The more aware we are, however, the greater traction we may experience in becoming at one with the magical rhythms of the cosmos.  – Gray Crawford (link)

New Moon: 8 Aquarius 15

It’s been gratifying to read a lot of articles lately that emphasise the importance of cycles and of remembering that we are always in the midst of several of them at any given time. Even as some parts or persons in life may have us in standby or hibernate mode, this new moon initiates and empowers a cycle of This is Me Taking Progressive Action and here is why:

Mars will triumphantly bound into his home sector of Aries, shaking off an immense amount of heavy debilitating drench just hours after the exact Sun/Moon conjunction. The effect of this move alone cannot be overstated when it comes to how so many of us are feeling. Lethargy , disillusionment, a dispersed and incoherent mentality and even timidity, shame and victimhood will be hard-pressed to maintain a grip on the Self no matter where Aries operates in the mosaic of personhood.

The Sun and Moon are united in Aquarius, associated with both Make-it-Real Saturn and Genius Forerunner Uranus. We can plant the seeds for taking a Giant Leap and land firm footed!

All the planets are moving forward. With just a few exceptions, this is a time for applying these energies to/upon/in tandem with our cosm. Just make a note to keep in mind that virtually ALL of us will be feeling Fired Up and remember the lessons gleaned over the last year concerning how we use our autonomy, knowing the wisdom of limits and the necessity of the co- in co-creative work.

Uranus and Jupiter are in opposition. Gotta be you but you are not an island. Become more diplomatic even as you measure twice and cut once. Also, I note that legalities and endowments/gifts with a string or two attached of one sort or another are coming up a lot. Oppositions are opportunities to integrate via common denominators. If you can’t find any of those (and you checked that twice)…release that space so it’s available. Nature abhors a void so don’t fret about it for even half a minute.

Saturn is enforcing accountability, offering growth through and in spite of pain and a reckoning is due for those who have forgotten why they offered to serve.

Mercury is stepping into Pluto’s parlour. The powers that be have a proclamation, a fabulous upgrade or a termination notice. But first things first: are you the Pluto archetype in any of your various associations? I ask this because a great many people that I speak with have blind spots concerning their power. I sometimes wonder if subconsciously they don’t feel up to the responsibility that comes with it. Either way, if you’ve been feeling any of those descriptors listed in paragraph 2, watch that you don’t unwittingly become the dark side of the Eliminator and miss a brilliant opportunity for a holistic upgrade. ‘Impotent rage wears on you.’ – Jon Stewart

There is grace abounding for those with a will to be aware. First off and most obvious with a new moon is the Space to unify our thoughts and feelings. This is not the general state of affairs for the great majority of us and I am celebrating that union of frequencies particularly. There is grace in Venus in Pisces: she is exalted here and we can choose what we attract to us which automatically edits our mindset and behaviour. Which wolf are you feeding? There is grace in maintaining the status quo in terms of our approach: the marker for our best growth forward remains in flexible yet grounded, wheat from chaff sorted, know-it-by-its-fruits Virgo. As we rise daily to the Challenge – even as we acknowledge there is no map of the terrain – we can use these qualities to advance with as much confidence as is possible in these bizarre times.

Can you hear that rooster crowing? I sure can. 🙂

Tip: Don’t Put the Cart Before the Horse

*****

Well Said

‘Taurus is a sign of the Earth element, suggesting works of solidification, stabilization and relaxation.  Seek for a moment mineral consciousness, and take comfort in gravity’s steady embrace.  Then, like a plant, search with your roots.  You will find purchase below, an anchor which will keep you from getting buffeted about by the winds currently howling.  Then, ascending to the busy world of animal consciousness, locate and the meet your creaturely needs. If you want to be capable of great efforts, heroic exertions, then you must be taken care of exquisitely.   Soothe and nurture yourself like a prize-winning race horse,  like a beloved pet— like the valuable beast you are.’  Austin Coppock  (link)
